As Christmas is a week away, Let's go back to our adventure from last year. We took our family to Pigeon Forge TN for Christmas. This was our first trip going anywhere for Christmas. So we decided to take our boys to go see snow. We dream of that White Christmas. And this year was the best year. It snowed for Christmas. As we arrived coming into town early in the morning, we drove through the night. It was 3:00 o'clock in the morning when we arrived and it was snowing. We checked into the resort, Hidden Mountain Resort. We had a bedroom little villa. Perfect for the family, the boys shared a room. We had our own room, own bathrooms and the villa was also decorated for Christmas.
So after arriving we put all our stuff inside The hit beds and slept for a few hours.
Shortly we got up and it wasn't snowing it had stopped, but we were expected to get snow later on that day. As we were getting ready for Christmas Day, we decided not to cook anything that night for dinner. We decided to go out and get dinner with the kids. So right down from the villa we had a great restaurant, which is one of our boys' favorite places to go when we go to Pigeon Forge, Big Daddy's Pizzeria. As we're sitting in big Daddy's pizzeria, eating dinner, the snow started coming down. We got done and went back up to the villa and got ready for Christmas Day. The boys made sure that the tree was decorated, that we brought and that they left cookies for Santa Claus. Joseph also left Candy Canes for the reindeer.
The next day was Christmas and everybody got up, walked down stairs and everything is white. It is snow everywhere. It was so magical. Joseph opens up the door to go outside to look at the snow and he sees this thing on the ground. And he's like, mom, what is this? It was the candy Canes that he left for the reindeer. They were little bits and pieces, I guess as the reindeer had started to eat them, they were leaving crumbs in the snow. And you could see them little circles where the snow had melted around the candy cane. The boys ran upstairs, got dressed, came back downstairs, put on their jackets, put on their gloves and shoes and out the door. They were making snowballs, snow angels. and having a time of their life. I have never thought that we would be able to see snow on Christmas Day. As being a parent that was the best gift that you could see when your kids see snow for the first time and say this is the best Christmas Ever Mom and Dad. Thank you We Love You.
So this week, I'm going to talk about the different places that we went to and give you a little sneak peek. Maybe if you're up there at Christmas or any time, you can stop by some of these places and see why we love them and maybe you will fall in love too.
